I’ll come clean. I’ve got a crystal addiction. NO! Not the illegal one. The lovely, yet at times, extremely expensive one. I love my healing crystals. I collect them and it can be said…obsess over them. If you haven’t yet discovered these precious gems, let me enlighten you. Basically the universe was created and these are direct vibrations (energy if you will) from the creator herself. They are usually buried deep within the earth. And sometimes the reveal themselves. They have extra ordinary healing powers. And even a simpleton can feel the energy they emit if they sit still and concentrate. Maybe a bit harsh there, but you get my point.

Anyway, they make me feel happy just thinking about them. So I’m sharing a couple of my favorite ones. And I’d love you to send me photos and stories of your babies.

This is a lovely citrine crystal which I use for money and abundance.

Another one of my favorites:

Melody Stone

I’m not sure if you can see it very well, but it’s melody stone (also known as super seven). It’s extremely rare and only found in 1 mine in the whole world. It’s very powerful because it’s got 7 crystals within it.

And another favorite:

Water Agate

Water agate crystal: this has water in it. If  you shake this crystal you can hear water in moving around inside it. The crystal formed around the water, and that makes the water inside it hundreds of thousands of years old!

I was having a conversation with a friend of mine who I truly consider a spiritual guru. He was having a good old laugh at some of our human foibles. One of things we discussed was the topic of visualization. Joss remarked that he felt it easy to show newcomers how to visualize small things. Objects like unexpected gifts, mail arriving early, free coffees etc were apparently easily taught to his students.

His students would come to his sessions with no real preconceived ideas about how to visualize. So they were given small tasks which they hadn’t thought about before and they were excited. The students would then come back 2 weeks later and report on their results. Every time without fail, Joss explained, the students would have some kind of success.

But when it comes to larger things, like cars, or holidays or career promotions, Joss reckons it gets harder. The funny thing according to him is that universe doesn’t discern the difference at all. It’s only in our heads that we become so attached to these supposedly “larger” desires that we start blocking our ability to receive what we ask for. Joss explained that when the tasks moved onto visualizing objects that the students really desired, they usually faced roadblocks. This is because the students have all kinds of preconceived beliefs about these desires.

Joss says that there are usually negative emotions when it comes to strong desires. For example we might feel jealous that others have what we don’t, or angry that we have to go without for so long, or just frustrated at how hard we have tried. That’s the real key: to let go and let the universe. Everytime we feel one of these negative emotions, we are blocking the object from reaching us.

There are 2 basic spiritual keys when it comes to visualizing:

1) Think about what you want in detail. There is heaps of information about this out there now. It’s usually covered very well, you know: use all your senses etc.

2) Let go. This is where people come unstuck. They stop visualizing before they get to this step, or they sabotage by starting to doubt. Heads up everyone – according to Joss:

“As soon as you are doubting, or questioning, you are getting attached to the outcome. This is the opposite of letting go.”

So there you have it. If your visualization methods aren’t producing the results you need, it could be because you haven’t really let go of the outcome.

Another important point about visualization is to remember to be careful what you are asking for. Time and again I speak to people who forgot to be very specific about what they were visualizing. Tiny little details can mean you get big unexpected surprises. But the most common surprise is people who realize they don’t really want what they were visualizing after all! We are easily led these days to think that we all should want the same things in life. But we are unique individuals. Don’t assume that abundance is a universal value.

Blessings follow me wherever I go.

In all things, I am blessed and I make it a point to take notice of all the good in my life. Even if I experience challenging events, I always remember how blessed I am.

I always have plenty of whatever I need. And often, I have more than enough. I am loved abundantly and I have plentiful love to give in return.

Infinite resources are at my fingertips. In the realm of money, I always have enough to cover my basic needs and to meet many of my desires, too.

If I experience times when I feel a lack of abundance, I remind myself that, in truth, I have all that I require. Whether I am employed or unemployed, partnered or single, with lots of kids or no kids at all, I feel blessed in a multitude of ways.

Nothing I can do can destroy or wash away the many blessings that come my way. And to be fully satisfied with life, all I have to do is remember the abundance that is available to me.

My universe is plentiful and my heart is abundant. Blessings come to me freely, and I cultivate gratitude for it.

Today, I make time to contemplate the ways in which I am a blessed. I regularly experience gratitude for all of the wonderful things in my life. And I seek out opportunities to demonstrate this gratitude by living with a sense of abundance.

Do you think integrity matters? I think it is enormously important, but maybe not for the usual reasons bandied about. Integrity is a black and white subject. And it is a very personal one. Integrity is the word that we keep with ourself. I don’t fully understand why, but the stronger our personal integrity the better life gets.

I learnt about this some years ago when I did a personal development seminar. My friend who introduced me was very big on ‘integrity’. Basically it’s about not letting yourself off the hook. You are your word – literally. If you say you are going to do something, then you must do it. It’s funny but when you start practicing this it becomes very evident, very fast, just how powerful this is. It’s almost like you are directly keyed in to your self -confidence and your self-esteem through integrity.

This is not really the way we are used to viewing it is it? Usually we view integrity as how we present to the outside world. Whereas I’m arguing that it is in fact the other way around.

Integrity is how we build our personal power.

Whenever I think about the news surrounding Lance Armstrong’s ban from cycling and his Tour De France title removals, I see the result of epic integrity issues. I’m not suggesting that I have any idea what went on for him, nor do I want to start speculating. But I do wonder about the relationship he had with himself during his whole cycling career.

That’s the thing about integrity: it matters at the beginning when it seems so insignificant. When you make decisions about your boundaries, and about what you will do for others. Let’s take for instance the example of millions of customer service employees out there globally. Is it ok for them to step over their personal integrity and tow the company line when they speak to customers regardless of their own values? I had to ring breville support a couple of weeks ago about my coffee maker that was on the blink. I asked a fairly open question about which model of machine the employee would recommend out of the new batch. She hesitated and then answered “they are all equally good”. What I really wanted to know was which model to avoid. I thought that she’d be ideally placed to tell me because she was taking calls from customers whose machines were not working. But she couldn’t begin to answer my question. And it was obviously difficult for her because she was eager to help me.

Another example of personal integrity is all those times that we say “yes I’ll do that” when we know that in the end we really won’t. This seems so innocent when we do it. But there’s always a niggling little knot in the stomach that let’s us know we are sticking another thumbtack into our self value. You might think this is ridiculous, but these little lies erode our relationship with ourself. It’s never about others. Let me know what you think.
